Parsley Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1/4 cup finely minced parsley
  • 1 teaspoon finely minced garlic
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Split the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Heat the butter in a saucepan.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the butter and cook briefly.
  4. Stir in the minced parsley, salt, and pepper; then remove from heat.
  5. Brush half of the butter mixture onto the cut side of one bread half.
  6. Place the second bread half on top, pressing gently to adhere.
  7. Wrap the assembled bread in heavy-duty foil.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes.
