Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/8 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Fry chopped onion in vegetable oil until translucent.
  2. Add cardamom to the hot oil, then add peas and stir for about 3 minutes.
  3. Add rice and 2 cups of water, then bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and cook until the rice is tender.
