Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sweet milk
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 quart heated and sweetened peaches

Instructions

  1. Melt the oleo in a long pan.
  2. Mix the self-rising flour, sugar, and sweet milk to make the batter.
  3. Pour the batter into the pan with the melted oleo.
  4. Place the heated and sweetened peaches on top of the batter, using a large spoon to add plenty of juice.
  5. Bake in a 400°F oven for approximately 40 minutes, optionally adding a little almond or vanilla flavoring.
