Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef stew meat
  • 16 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 carrots
  • 4 potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 16 oz can sliced peaches

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef stew meat on all sides; strain meat fat.
  2. In a saucepan, stir together tomato sauce, water, and salt.
  3. Add the stew meat to the saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil; cover with a lid.
  5. Simmer on low heat for 1 hour and 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add chopped carrots and potatoes; cover and cook for 30 minutes.
  7. Add sliced peaches and their liquid to the stew.
  8. Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
