Ingredients

  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. peanut butter
  • 3 drops almond extract

Instructions

  1. Mix white sugar, brown sugar, salt, and sour cream in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil without stirring, until the mixture reaches the soft ball stage (236°F).
  3. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm (110°F).
  4. Add peanut butter and almond extract to the mixture.
  5. Stir until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Allow the candies to cool and set before serving.
