Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Karo syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cups parched peanuts
  • 1/2 stick oleo
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, Karo syrup, and water in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add peanuts, oleo, vanilla, and a little red cake coloring.
  4. Beat the mixture until it becomes light pink and loses its gloss.
