- Mix the yellow cake mix, 1/2 cup melted butter, and 1 egg together until well combined.
- Press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3 eggs, and 1 1/2 cups Karo syrup, mixing well.
- Pour the syrup mixture over the baked crust.
- Sprinkle 1 cup chopped pecans evenly over the top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until set.
- Allow to cool before serving.
