Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 6 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening.
  3. Add buttermilk and mix.
  4. Roll on floured surface.
  5. Bake at 425° until golden brown.
