Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pecan halves
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp. cold water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Beat egg white and cold water until frothy.
  2. Add pecan halves; cool well.
  3. Mix sugar, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Add nuts to the sugar mixture and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Spread coated pecans in a buttered shallow pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°F (107°C) for 2 1/2 hours, stirring every 15 to 20 minutes.
