Ingredients

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 cups flour
  • egg whites, beaten to meringue
  • walnut halves

Instructions

  1. Mix butter and flour together to form a crumbly mixture.
  2. Beat egg yolks slightly and add sour cream, vanilla, and lemon juice.
  3. Incorporate the egg yolk mixture into the butter and flour mixture, kneading until combined.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured board and shape into small balls the size of marbles.
  5. Chill the shaped dough overnight in the refrigerator.
