Ingredients

  • 3 packed basil leaves, stems removed
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup pimentos, walnuts, or almonds (or a combination)
  • 3/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Combine basil, garlic, pimentos, walnuts or almonds, parsley, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and melted butter in a blender.
  2. Blend on low, then on medium speed until a smooth paste forms.
  3. Use immediately on cooked spaghetti or vegetables, or store for later use.
