Ingredients

  • 2 pheasants
  • 2 cans mushroom soup
  • 2 large cans mushrooms with liquid
  • 1 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

  1. Brown the pheasants in a skillet with a small amount of butter.
  2. Place the browned pheasant pieces in a 2-quart ovenproof casserole dish.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the mushroom soup, canned mushrooms with liquid, and slivered almonds.
  4. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Pour the mushroom mixture over the pheasants.
  6. Cover the dish and bake in a 300°F oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  7. Serve hot, optionally substituting chicken for pheasant.
