Ingredients

  • 4 cucumbers
  • 1 large white onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. sugar
  • 1 clove
  • 2 c. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Slice the cucumbers and white onion.
  2. Mix vinegar, sugar, salt (if using), and grated clove in a saucepan.
  3. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes.
  4. Put the sliced vegetables into a jar and pour the hot vinegar mixture over them.
  5. Let stand for 24 hours before serving.
