Pickle From Kosher Dill

A tangy, sweet and savory pickle infused with cloves and garlic, perfect for adding flavor to sandwiches, snacks, or as a zesty side dish for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 quarts kosher dill
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp whole cloves
  • 1 garlic glove

Instructions

  1. Drain the Kosher dill pickle.
  2. Cut the pickle into thin round slices.
  3. Place the sliced pickle back into the jar.
  4. Mix sugar and vinegar together.
  5. Put cloves in a thin cloth and add to the jar with the pickle.
  6. Add garlic to the jar.
  7. Pour the sugar-vinegar mixture over the pickle slices.
  8. Refrigerate the jar upside down until the sugar dissolves, shaking often.
  9. Wait 24 hours until the pickle is ready to eat.
  10. Keep refrigerated.
