Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 cups vinegar
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 4 teaspoons celery seed
  • 4 teaspoons turmeric
  • 3/4 teaspoon mustard seed

Instructions

  1. Cut cucumbers and pour boiling water over them.
  2. Let stand for 5 to 6 hours.
  3. Mix vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seed, turmeric, and mustard seed in a saucepan and boil for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour the hot mixture over the packed cucumbers in cans.
  5. Boil the cans for 5 minutes to seal.
