Ingredients

  • approximately 4 qt. cucumbers
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 3/4 tsp. mustard seed
  • 3/4 c. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Cut cucumbers into sticks.
  2. Cover cucumbers with water and soak for 4 or 5 hours.
  3. Drain the cucumbers.
  4. Pack the cucumber sticks into jars.
  5. Combine sugar, celery seed, mustard seed, vinegar, and salt in a pot.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Pour the hot mixture over the cucumbers in the jars.
  8. Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
