- Pour the syrup over the apples and let stand overnight.
- Remove the spice bag from the apples.
- Pack the apples into hot jars.
- Bring the remaining syrup to a boil.
- Pour the boiling syrup over the packed apples.
- Process the jars in boiling water bath for 30 minutes.
