Ingredients

  • 1 can French-style string beans
  • 1 tsp. pickling spices
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 2 tsp. liquid artificial sweetener

Instructions

  1. Steam the beans for 5 minutes or less.
  2. Strain the juice off the beans.
  3. In a separate pot, mix the pickling spices into the vinegar and liquid sweetener.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Strain the pickling liquid.
  6. Pour the hot pickling liquid over the beans and let stand overnight.
