Ingredients

  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • white garlic

Instructions

  1. Cut garlic by soaking in water overnight.
  2. Peelings will come off faster after soaking.
  3. Use one cup of vinegar to one cup of water with white vinegar for pickling.
  4. Do not add salt to the pickling recipe.
  5. Check label to ensure vinegar is for pickling to prevent garlic from turning blue.
  6. Use only white garlic for pickling.
  7. Can be stored in plastic jars with lids.
  8. Store in refrigerator.
  9. Pickled garlic takes about three weeks to develop a good flavor.
  10. It can be used in all recipes and may help reduce plaque buildup in blood vessels.
  11. Can also be used in place of garlic pills that contain oil.
