Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 3/4 lb melted butter
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • approximately 5 or 6 potatoes, mashed
  • 1/2 lb grated Longhorn or American cheese

Instructions

  1. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish with Pam.
  2. Boil potatoes until tender when tested with a fork.
  3. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
  4. Saute butter and onions in a small skillet.
  5. Mash the cooked potatoes and mix in the grated cheese.
  6. In the prepared baking dish, place 3 lasagna noodles.
  7. Spread one-third of the potato and cheese mixture over the noodles.
  8. Repeat layers with remaining noodles and potato mixture.
  9. Top with the last three lasagna noodles, then add the sautéed onions and butter.
  10. Cover and bake in a 225°F oven for approximately 45 to 55 minutes.
