Ingredients

  • 1 small package instant vanilla pudding
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Bake the yellow cake as directed on the package and let it cool slightly.
  2. While the cake is still hot, poke holes all over the top with a meat fork.
  3. Pour the can of crushed pineapple with juice evenly over the hot cake, allowing it to soak in.
  4. Let the cake cool completely to room temperature.
  5. Frost the cooled cake with Cool Whip and sprinkle with coconut or nuts if desired.
