Pinwheel Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 1/4 c. undiluted Carnation milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs (unbeaten)
  • 1 sq. chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Sift dry ingredients.
  2. Add shortening and 1 cup Carnation milk.
  3. Beat 2 minutes.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla and remaining 1/4 cup milk; beat until blended.
  5. Add melted chocolate.
  6. Pour into layer pans.
  7. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
  8. Cool and split to form 4 layers.
  9. Frost with Pinwheel Frosting.
