Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. lukewarm water
  • 3/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • 1 c. warm water

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and let stand until foamy.
  2. Put sugar, salt, and olive oil in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the dissolved yeast mixture.
  4. Add flour and warm water alternately, mixing well.
  5. Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead gently until smooth.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal sections.
  7. Brush the tops with olive oil, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
