Ingredients

  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup dry milk
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon minced instant onion

Instructions

  1. Mix tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and 1/4 cup water in a 1-quart saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly.
  3. In a bowl, combine dry milk, water, biscuit baking mix, vegetable oil, egg, and minced instant onion to make the waffle batter.
  4. Preheat your waffle iron.
  5. Pour batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve the waffles topped with the warm tomato sauce.
