Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 6 medium potatoes, cut up
  • 3 medium onions, cut up
  • 4 to 5 celery stalks, cut up
  • 4 to 5 carrots, sliced
  • 1 pt. whole kernel corn
  • 1 large can pork and beans
  • 1 c. macaroni
  • 1 c. peas (optional)
  • 1 gal. homemade tomato juice
  • 1 qt. tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Bring tomato juice to boil.
  2. Add vegetables; stir and cook for a while.
  3. Add crumbled hamburger and continue cooking, stirring to prevent sticking.
  4. Add salt and sugar to taste.
  5. Serve.
  6. This makes a large amount but also can be canned for later use.
