Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. white syrup
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Instructions

  1. Mix the white syrup, brown sugar, butter, and cream of tartar in a 4-quart pot.
  2. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda.
  3. Pour the mixture over a dishpan full of popped corn.
  4. Bake at 250°F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
