Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 pork chops, 3/4-inch thick
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 to 5 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Salt and pepper the pork chops; brown them in oil.
  2. Place the browned chops in a shallow oven pan.
  3. Arrange the sliced potatoes on top and around the sides of the chops.
  4. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.
  5. Sprinkle chopped onion on the chops and then dust with flour.
  6. Pour milk gently into the pan to almost cover the chops.
  7. Cover the pan with foil and bake at 325°F for 1 to 1½ hours.
  8. Remove the foil and bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes to brown.
