Ingredients

  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. white Karo syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
  • dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, salt, milk, and Karo syrup in a heavy 3-quart pan. Cook to soft ball stage.
  2. Add butter and vanilla to the mixture.
  3. Beat until cool and thickened.
  4. Add pecan halves to the mixture.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper and allow to firm.
