Ingredients

  • 12 oz. pitted prunes
  • 1/4 c. seedless raisins
  • 3 c. water
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
  • 4 rounded Tbsp. tapioca

Instructions

  1. Put prunes, raisins, and water in a 2-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  2. Keep just at boiling point and mash with a potato masher.
  3. Add sugar and stir with the masher.
  4. Add tapioca, one tablespoonful at a time.
  5. Keep cooking and stirring for 2 or 3 minutes.
  6. Pudding will thicken as it cools.
  7. Serve with cream or half and half.
