Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. butter-flavored stick Crisco
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 c. Pillsbury bread flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water in a large bowl.
  2. Pour boiling water over shortening (Crisco) and dissolve.
  3. Add sugar, salt, eggs, flour, and dissolved yeast; mix well.
  4. Refrigerate the dough overnight or until thoroughly chilled.
  5. Roll the dough out to 1/4-inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter.
  6. Dip each biscuit into melted butter and stand biscuits on their sides in two greased Bundt pans.
  7. Let the dough rise for 2 to 3 hours.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  9. Serve by pulling apart and enjoying.
