- Cut slices from a fine high-colored pumpkin.
- Peel and cut slices into thin chips.
- Take 2 cups of pumpkin slices and put into a large pan, then layer with 2 cups of sugar.
- Add 1 thinly sliced lemon and let it set overnight.
- In the morning, transfer all to a preserving pan.
- Add the stick of cinnamon, cloves, and water.
- Bring to a boil and cook until the chips are clear and the syrup is thickened.
- Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.
- Seal in sterilized jars.
