Pumpkin Drops

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. raisins

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°.
  2. Mix sugar, pumpkin, orange peel and shortening.
  3. Stir in flour, powder, soda, salt and cinnamon.
  4. Mix in raisins and nuts.
  5. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake until light brown (8 to 10 minutes).
  7. Cool and frost.
  8. Makes 4 dozen.
