Quick and easy bread sticks with a soft interior and crispy exterior, topped with butter, seasoning salt or garlic salt, and Parmesan cheese for a flavorful snack or side.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 Tbsp powdered milk
  • 4 to 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Add powdered milk, honey, and salt to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, a little at a time, until the mixture forms a dough ball. Knead the dough.
  4. Let the dough rise for 15 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into 12 equal balls.
  6. Roll each ball into a bread stick shape.
  7. Place the bread sticks on a greased baking pan.
  8. Brush the bread sticks with melted butter and sprinkle with seasoning salt or garlic salt and Parmesan cheese, if desired.
  9. Let the bread sticks rise for 20 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 15 minutes.
