A quick and flavorful Italian-inspired bread topped with cheese, tomatoes, and pepperoni, perfect for a casual snack or appetizer with bold garlic and herb flavors.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp. dried basil leaves
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • 1 (1 lb.) loaf French bread, cut in half lengthwise
  • 16 Velveeta cheese slices, cut in half diagonally
  • 1 c. chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. chopped cooked pepperoni

Instructions

  1. Heat the broiler.
  2. Mix margarine, dried basil leaves, dried oregano leaves, and minced garlic until well blended.
  3. Place each bread half, cut side facing up, on a cookie sheet.
  4. Spread the margarine mixture evenly over each bread half.
  5. Top with Velveeta cheese slices, chopped tomatoes, and chopped cooked pepperoni.
