Ingredients

  • 5 pears, halved and cored
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 5 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted
  • cinnamon
  • 1 (8 oz) package refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place pear halves, cut side up, in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  3. Sprinkle the pears with lemon juice and then with brown sugar.
  4. Pour 3 tablespoons of melted butter evenly over the pear halves.
  5. Cover the pan and bake for 20 minutes or until the pears are just tender.
  6. Remove from oven and arrange the refrigerated buttermilk biscuits on top of the pears.
  7. Bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown.
