Ingredients

  • 1 lb. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. mixed spice
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 packets yeast
  • 2 oz. sugar
  • 4 oz. raisin
  • 2 oz. mixed peel (dried)
  • 5 oz. stove heated milk
  • 1 1/2 oz. water
  • 1 egg
  • 2 oz. butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Mix all dry ingredients.
  2. Add milk, water, eggs and butter. Mix and make dough.
  3. Place dough in covered bowl and let rise for approximately 1 1/2 hours.
