Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 chickens
  • 6 or 8 white potatoes
  • 2 or 3 small or medium onions
  • salt to taste
  • pork fat or oil

Instructions

  1. Boil the chicken until well done.
  2. Add coarsely chopped onions.
  3. Grate potatoes into a white cloth over a bowl, catching all liquid.
  4. Discard the juice, but save the starch portion and add it back to the grated potatoes.
  5. Separate the chicken from the broth and remove bones and skin.
