Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. toasted oats or bread crumbs
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped chiles
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. shredded low-moisture Mozzarella
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients, reserving 4 ounces tomato sauce for topping.
  2. Shape into 2 loaves.
  3. Bake, covered with remaining sauce, at 375° for 45 minutes until slightly brown on top.
