Really Quick Wheat Bread
A quick and hearty whole wheat bread with a hint of orange, perfect for breakfast or snacks, suitable for health-conscious and busy bakers alike.

- Mix dry ingredients, including whole wheat flour, unbleached flour, bran, sugar or honey, shredded orange peel, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Blend milk with the slightly beaten egg until well combined.
- Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan dusted with wheat germ.
- Sprinkle wheat germ on top of the batter.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the loaf rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
- Brush the loaf with honey while still warm.
