Ingredients

  • 1 can dark red kidney beans
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • herb salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • Tabasco sauce to taste
  • 8 slices whole grain bread

Instructions

  1. Blend the first 7 ingredients in a food processor, adding more catsup if needed for desired consistency.
  2. Spread on toasted whole grain bread and top with lettuce, onion and your favorite vegetables.
  3. Serves 4.
