Tips & Substitutions

For a smoother jelly, strain the pepper mixture before boiling. If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of hot peppers or use a different variety. You can also experiment with adding spices like garlic or onion powder for extra depth. Make sure to use fresh, high-quality peppers for the best taste.

Serving Suggestions

This vibrant red pepper jelly pairs beautifully with cheeses, especially cream cheese or goat cheese, and is fantastic as a glaze for roasted meats. Serve it alongside crackers or use it as a topping for burgers. It also complements bread-based dishes like Plain Boiled Rice, enhancing their flavors with a sweet and spicy kick.

Storage & Reheating

Store the red pepper jelly in sterilized jars in a cool, dark place. Once opened, keep it in the refrigerator where it should last for several months. If you notice any signs of spoilage, such as mold or off smells, discard the jelly. It can be used as a sweet and spicy condiment for various dishes.
