Ingredients

  • 2 Bigelow red raspberry tea bags
  • 8 oz. Ocean Spray cran drink

Instructions

  1. Boil the tea bags in 4 cups of water.
  2. Once brewed, pour the tea into a 2-quart pitcher.
  3. Add 8 oz. of Ocean Spray cran drink (Tropical Twisters are good too).
  4. Fill the remaining space in the pitcher with water.
  5. Serve over ice.
  6. Add sugar to taste if desired.

Tips & Substitutions

To enhance the flavor, consider adding a splash of lemon juice or a few fresh raspberries for garnish. If you don't have Ocean Spray cran drink, you can substitute with any cranberry juice or even a mix of cranberry and apple juice. For a twist, try adding a hint of mint leaves while brewing, or use a different tea like hibiscus for a colorful variation. Adjust the sweetness based on personal preference.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this refreshing tea over ice for a perfect thirst-quencher. It pairs beautifully with light snacks like cucumber sandwiches or fruit platters. For a more festive touch, consider serving it alongside Jello Pineapple Rings or as a refreshing beverage option at summer gatherings. Garnish with fresh mint or slices of citrus for an appealing presentation.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When ready to serve, simply pour over ice again. If the tea becomes too concentrated, add a splash of cold water to dilute it. Avoid reheating as it may alter the taste, and it’s best enjoyed chilled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this tea ahead of time?

Yes, you can brew the tea in advance and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Just remember to add the cranberry drink and water right before serving for optimal freshness.

Is this recipe suitable for children?

Absolutely! This tea is a great non-caffeinated option for children. Just adjust the sweetness to suit their taste, and consider using less cranberry drink if you prefer it less sweet.

Can I use fresh raspberries instead of tea bags?

While fresh raspberries won't replace the tea bags directly, you can infuse the brewed tea with fresh raspberries after steeping for added flavor. Just muddle them slightly to release their juices before adding to the pitcher.
