Ingredients

  • 5 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of flour, sugar, undissolved yeast, and salt.
  2. Add milk, margarine, water, and eggs to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
  5. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a large circle on a floured surface.
  8. Cut the dough into wedges like a pizza.
  9. Roll each wedge from the wide end toward the point to form a crescent shape.
  10. Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Remove from oven and cool slightly before serving.
