Ingredients

  • 3 lb. hamburger meat, cooked and drained
  • 2 medium bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 qt. tomatoes
  • 6 qt. water
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 head chopped cabbage
  • 6 potatoes, diced
  • 1 qt. corn

Instructions

  1. Mix first 3 ingredients together in frying pan and cook until hamburger changes color.
  2. Add hamburger mixture to next 6 ingredients, then potatoes.
  3. Cook for 1 hour, then add corn.
  4. Let simmer or slow boil for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  5. Makes enough for several people or to freeze.
  6. Can add pintos or kidney.
