Ingredients

  • 4 cups rhubarb, cut in 1-inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon red Hots
  • 3 drops red food coloring
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Combine rhubarb, water, cinnamon red Hots, and red food coloring in a pot, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and cold water to make a slurry.
  3. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the simmering rhubarb, bring to a boil, and cook for 1 minute until thickened.
