Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup rice
  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 1 small onion

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon until crisp; remove and set aside.
  2. Cook about 1/4 cup of rice in the bacon fat, then add the small onion and cook until softened.
  3. Pour some of the bacon fat into a frying pan and add the okra.
  4. Cook the okra until it is done.
  5. Add the cooked rice and onion to the okra and let simmer for a while.
