Ingredients

  • 1 stick oleo (margarine)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) package dates
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt the oleo (margarine) in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add sugar to the melted margarine and stir well until combined.
  3. Add the dates to the mixture and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies and nuts until evenly coated.
  5. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then form into balls.
  6. Roll the balls in powdered sugar before serving.
