Rice With Apples
A comforting rice pudding layered with tart apples, baked until golden, topped with butter, served with cream and sugar for a sweet, creamy treat.

Instructions
- Cook rice in milk until tender.
- Pare and slice enough tart apples to make a pint.
- Butter a pudding dish and put in a layer of rice.
- Add a layer of sliced apples over the rice.
- Cover with the remaining rice.
- Cover and bake for 20 minutes.
- Uncover the dish and dot with bits of butter.
- Brown the top of the pudding.
- Serve with cream and sugar.
