Ingredients

  • 1 lb. mushrooms
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup water or white wine
  • fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wipe mushrooms clean.
  2. Leave mushrooms whole but remove stems (which can be used for soup).
  3. Lightly oil the bottom of a pan or skillet. Put garlic in the bottom of the pan; add mushrooms, water or wine, and pepper.
  4. Cover the pan.
  5. Stir frequently and cook for about 5 minutes.
