Ingredients

  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 22 Ritz crackers (whole)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • butter

Instructions

  1. Bring boiling water, white sugar and cream of tartar to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add crackers and cook 2 minutes.
  3. Do not stir. Pour in unbaked pie shell.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon; dot with butter.
  5. Put on top crust and bake 10 minutes at 425°; reduce to 325° and bake 20 minutes longer.
